The Project
This project was focused on providing an integrated systems solution for the Direct Import business, ensuring that imported products form Hong Kong & China could be tracked from initial order through to final delivery within UK warehouses and distribution centers. Due to the complexity of the business process and existing systems, the proposed solution made significant re-use of the existing Websphere Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) for order and shipping transactions.
